How We Maintain Your System

Your pump and filter are core to how your pool functions. If either one isn’t working properly, it can lead to water clarity problems, reduced circulation, and unnecessary strain on your system.

We focus on keeping both components in good working condition. We inspect, clean, and service the parts that most commonly affect performanc including internal filters, seals, pressure levels, and water flow.

With 20+ years servicing residential pool systems across DC we’re familiar with the patterns and issues specific to this region’s setups.

What’s Included in the Visit

Each service appointment typically covers the following:

  • Backwash or clean cartridge/de filter

  • Inspect pump lid, o-rings, and fittings

  • Clear skimmer and pump baskets

  • Check for leaks or worn seals

  • Review pressure levels and flow output

  • Check for air in system lines

  • Identify unusual motor noise or signs of wear

If anything is outside the scope of routine servicing, we’ll document the issue and let you know what’s recommended.

Signs Your System May Need Attention

While some filter or pump issues are obvious, others build up slowly. Common indicators include:

  • Pressure reading above normal range

  • Decreased suction while vacuuming

  • Cloudy water despite regular cleaning

  • Pump turning on/off more frequently than usual

  • Water leaks or wet spots near equipment pad

  • Louder-than-usual operation

What We Service

We handle most major brands and system types, including:

  • Sand, cartridge, and DE filters

  • Single-speed and variable-speed pumps

  • In-ground and above-ground pool systems

  • Systems with automation or timers

We’ve worked on everything from newer VS models to older legacy equipment still running in the area

FAQ

How often should I service my filter and pump?
During swim season, every 4–6 weeks is typical for filter cleaning. Pumps should be checked at least once per season for performance and wear.

Can I get this done without a full maintenance package?
Yes. You can request this as a standalone service.

What if something needs replacement?
We’ll advise you before doing any additional work and can source parts quickly if needed.

Do you carry parts with you?
We carry common gaskets, o-rings, and fittings. Anything less common can usually be ordered within 1–2 business days.
